I love art that asks questions. You have art? I have questions...

LW equals MI by BL8antBand

LW = MI

EinStud's Theory

Less Words = More Imagination

Before the Chicken or the Egg, the IDEA had to come first.

It is like art. When you are finished with some art, no one asks, "Which came first, the paper or the paint?".

(I suppose you could ask, but there is never a place in time when we really know if paint atoms were around before paper atoms... but what we do know is that the painting was born, when the artist formed an idea)

Who was the "painter"?

All art created here is blessed for good health, good fortune, and good luck. It will do the same for you.

Peace Out, Gary

When you realize it is too late, it is too late.  But a positive note on the other side of this issue, yes.  The best time to do something was twenty years ago.  The second best time is NOW.  #NOW

ES 54 Dad by BL8antBand
ES 54 Dad
BL8antBand.  Music made for your eyes...

This abstract art is:  ES 54 Dad

This style of art is often used as a background.  Just crop the area you like, then use a blur tool to soften.  This abstract art is neutral and safe for work.

This art is completely free as unrestricted stock.  Credit is nice, but not required.  "As is" prints are available for sale.  Prints are very affordable, and can be found at my DA shop: bl8antband.deviantart.com/prin… .  Yes, you can use this art as stock to alter in your own creations.  Please be respectful.

Series:  I have signed and numbered this art as part of a series under, "Names and Tributes":  bl8antband.deviantart.com/gall…

Have a heart:  Most art in this series contains a heart shape somewhere in the rendering.  Can you find it?  Is there more than one?

Comments:  This is "Tribute Art" honoring Dad.

- Peace Out, ES from BL8antBand at BL8ant.com
.

Technique:  Not many people read this far.  Even fewer people are "Artists."  So the chance of someone stealing my ideas here are very slim.  And after I leave this world, at least the possibility still exists that my thoughts can be expanded.  What a wonderful World we live in today.  I wonder what tomorrow will bring?  Today brings a need for mowing the lawn, and I am here creating this mess.

I use many effects.  I am an "FX Artist" I guess you could say.  Here is the skinny...  I rely on Filter Forge, Photoshop Elements 10, Paint.net, and my creativity as well as stupidity from time to time.  I prefer to post to DeviantArt because it is a community of real Artists.  In DeviantArt, the opportunity exists to give something added behind the artwork (like right now, you are reading my thoughts).  I do get some ideas and stock from DeviantArt too.

As for this rendering, ES 54 Dad... I stumbled upon combining the harsh attitudes of Digital Art Filters and the softness of painting filters.  To make this work, I used Photoshop Elements 10, the Magic Wand, a tolerance of 60, and refined the edges to Smooth 4, Feather .7, and Contract/Expand +9.  Of course the filters I used after making this selection were from Filter Forge.

I did not use Paint.net for this render.  Oh, and I only selected "Anti-Alias" and not Contiguous.  Not sure what "Anti-Alias" is yet, but in the future I will find out.

I selected a color (blue tones) so as to apply my effects.  You have to select something, right?

It created a mix for me of Hard digital art and soft paintings because the filter in Filter Forge I chose was called, Scatter Painting.

Sometimes I finish up with a "texture" that is provided in Photoshop Elements 10.  It is just a canvas texture to bring a subtle unity to my work.

That is all of the details I need to know if I ever choose to do a painting like this again.  I hope I was an inspiration to you.  If not, I am still your friend.

How wonderful would life be today if all of our greatest artists from the past could explain what was happening when they created their work?  That is the future I see.  I see visual art becoming equally distributable, and profitable as audio art.  The more you give, the more you get.  Thanks World.

My 2 Cents - My thoughts of anything...

... and your opportunity to agree (or disagree I suppose).

I made this one at 4.5 to 3 ratio with a ppi of 1000.  My working ratio was 4:3 at 300ppi.  I stretched it out when I was done.
